Well here we go again, the summer lineup is looking predictably fun:
The JJC Alumni and Friends: June 19th, 7:00-8:00 p.m. @ La Quinta de los Reyes in Aurora opening for Pete Ellman’s Big Band, and June 21st, 7:15-8:30 p.m. @ Billie Limacher Bicentennial Park in Joliet.
The Southland Jazz Ensemble returns to Main Street Nights in Park Forest, July 18th, 6:30 p.m. Looking forward to backing up vocalists Ava Logan and Saalik Ziyad in this band filled with great Chicago and Southland musicians.
The “Festival of the Vine” wine tasting features the Prairie State College Faculty Jazz Ensemble, Friday, July 27th, 7:00-11:00 p.m. @ Sargent Means Park in Olympia Fields. With Eugene Vinyard, Valerie Nicholson, and stay tuned for the rhythm section!
The JJC Faculty Jazz Quintet will perform at the Kendall County Fair, August 5th, Noon-2:00 p.m. We will spice up the usual country and rock scene with a little jazz! Also looking ahead to our yearly hit at JJC on Sunday, October 14th @ 3:00 p.m..
