Greetings, this is shaping up to be a busier that usual last half of 2015 for me! Here are some upcoming performances:
The Southland Jazz Ensemble performs tomorrow, October 5th at Hackney’s, and we will be backing vocalist Ava Logan at Freedom Hall in Park Forest on November 8th @ 4;00 p.m.
The second annual concert by the Joliet Junior College Faculty Jazz Quintet will be Sunday, October 18th @ 3:00 p.m. in the JJC Fine Arts Theatre.
I will be presenting a concert and conducting a master class at the 2015 Southern Illinois University Guitar Festival (November 12-14) in Carbondale, Illinois. I am really excited about this one! I will reunite with my FourOnSix duo partner, bassist Phil Brown, joined by drummer Jimmy Beers for the opening concert on Thursday evening, November 12th. The master class will be on Friday the 13th! Here is a copy of the facebook post:
“Confirmed! The SIU guitar festival will be geld on campus, in Carbondale from November 12 to the 14th. Our line up for the 2nd edition of the SIU guitar festival will include classical guitarist Moacyr Teixeira Neto from Brazil, jazz guitarist Steve Jacobson from Chicago, Dr. Isaac Lausell joined by Cuban drummer Fidel Morales and Puerto Rican bass guitarist Gabriel Rodriguez. We will also have Persian Setarist Ali Behjatian, the SIU Guitar Orchestra and more”.
